1. The freight elevator features a large, convenient cabin suitable for transportation of loose or palletized goods, which can be loaded with manual trolleys or transpallets. There is a manual double door instead of an automatic one, removing need for a rolling track at the cabin’s entrance. This facilitates manoeuvring of manual trolleys and transpallets and prevents risk of damage to the doors; the size of the cabin and doors is unlimited; 2. The load can be selected in accordance with the customer’s needs without it interfering with the cabin’s size; 3. As there isn’t a cabin door, an optional folding platform can be fitted that retains the load but also facilitates access of transpallets and manual trolleys to the cabin; 4. The elevator is economical as maintenance can be performed on a quarterly rather than monthly basis, and features reduced energy consumption; 5. The elevator requires just two-yearly inspections, instead of a final test by an entity; 6. An elevator shaft with cylinder head between 2.30 and 2.70 metres is sufficient for an open-top cabin; 7. The elevator can also be installed with a shaft pit of just 25 cm; 8. The elevator’s machinery is all housed in one metal cabinet without need for an engine room; 9. The elevator can easily carry loads between 200 and 5,000 kg in weight without need for considering a volume-load ratio, as with other elevators; 10. The cost is less than that of an elevator of the same load-bearing capacity. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS LOAD: between 200 and above 5,000 kg depending on the size of the cabin. PIT: reduced: standard depth 400 – 500 mm. The system can, in exceptional cases, be arranged for pits of lesser depth. CABIN: the cabin is made of RAL 7038 painted steel plate, is without door and fitted with a folding platform. The cabin is open-top (roof is available upon request). SPEED: 0.12 m/sec MACHINERY: below, of minimal size, without need for a machine room. It is all contained in a painted steel plate cabinet measuring 850x450x1200 mm. DOORS: manual door with single, double or four leafs (gate door or guillotine door also available on request), with locks and safety electrical contacts; the doors only open when the cabin is present and are RAL 1013 painted. CABIN ACCESS PROTECTION: load protection platform that can be opened manually, semi-automatically (optional) or with photocells. STOPS: up to 4 STROKE: up to 20 m LIFTING: requires one, two or four lateral cylinders, depending on the cabin’s size and load, with a rack that controls and stabilizes balance between the cylinders. DELIVERY: extremely fast delivery times ELECTRICAL SUPPLY: 380V – 50Hz. Requires an earth in the pit. A 16A main switch is installed next to the technical cabinet. ENCLOSURE TOWER: can be supplied separately, if there isn’t a wall enclosure shaft. Also anti-seismic (optional). SAFETY: all measures are taken to ensure the safety of persons and objects. 1. Oil pressure gauge; 2. Mechanical gauges that block the cabin even if just one of the chains breaks or is misaligned. 3. Double contact to prevent casual opening of the doors; 4. Load protection platform at the cabin’s entrance (optional); 5. Stop button for each pushbutton panel; 6. System of mechanical stop at bottom of pit for maintenance if the pit is not of prescribed depth (optional); 7. Wall protection of the entire elevator shaft is the customer’s responsibility.
